Native seeds and blends
Many of our species are available as pre-packaged seed packs ($6+tax). Bulk quantities are also available. Please see the species list below and send an e-mail to info@saanichnativeplants.com with your requests. Please note: Not all seed packets are available at our nursery location and should be ordered for pick-up.

Ordering, pick-up, and payment
To order seeds, contact us at info@saanichnativeplants.ca. Seed orders can be picked up from the nursery or mailed to your business or home.
Custom Seed Blends
We specialize in custom seed mixes to suite your specific project needs. We develop mixes for everything from a few square metres to acreages. We ask that you provide enough information about your project that we can develop an appropriate seed blend for you.
Please send an e-mail with your details and as much of the following as you can when ordering custom seed blends:
- A photo of the site
- A brief verbal description of the site (e.g. moisture, light, soils)
- Size of area (sq m or sq ft)
- A brief description of your goals (e.g. slope stabilization, pollinator-friendly, deer-resistant)
-If you know some of the species you want in the mix please let us know. Otherwise, we can choose appropriate species for you.
We will respond quickly by e-mail with an estimate for a seed blend. Once you have confirmed your order we will mix your blend for you. For larger orders a deposit may be required as blends can not be unmixed once they are created.
Producing native seeds requires planting of single-species beds so that the seed can be harvested efficiently. In addition to producing seeds, these beds contribute to soil development, pollinator enhancement, and wildlife habitat.
